Sonakshi Sinha started as an overnight sensation with her first film Dabangg opposite Salman Khan. And there has been no looking back ever since! Far from being a bratty star-kid, Sonakshi despite an iconic lineage is undoubtedly your girl-next-door. From having lost weight, to her battle with a docile on-screen image or   being a dainty diva, to being a part of the elite hundred crore film club, Sonakshi makes stardom look natural and very much believable. Soon to debut in South with plum films in her kitty, the spirited and grounded actress talks about her everyday life and much more… Read on to find out more about Sonakshi.
What do we not know about the real life Sonakshi Sinha?

With me it’s always what you see is what you get. So you probably know everything about me since I’ve made my debut 4 years back! Except maybe that I’m ambidextrous, did you know that?
Give us your take on fashion, considering you are a certified fashion designer and the whole of the entertainment industry is focusing on looking perfect on-screen and off-screen as well?

Well, fashion is something that’s always changing, always evolving and something that everyone is always running after to fit into. As for style, now that’s something personal.

Are you a foodie? Your favorite food/restaurant-destination and why is it your most loved?

Yes, I’m a complete foodie and do not shy away from admitting it. If I am in Mumbai I love eating at Indigo and Olive. There’s also Yuatcha and Masala Library.
What does family mean to you? How would you describe your equation with your mom-dad and twin brothers?

Family always comes first for me. It’s because of them I am who I am today and wherever I am, whatever I’m doing, they are always on my mind. My parents are conservative yet they give me enough space to be my own person and make my own decisions. My brothers are older than me so they’re usually the ones I turn to for guidance and help.
What is your ideology on Love? Also do you see yourself with an industry man or outside of it when you decide to choose a man to get married to? When is marriage likely on the cards for you and what kind of a wedding can we expect

Love is something that can’t be forced and happens when you least expect it to. I don’t know who I see myself with but I hope it’s someone tall and who can make me laugh all the time. Marriage is not on my mind right now, I have to find the right person for that first, and when I do, I won’t think twice. I’d like to have a very simple and private wedding but I doubt that will happen with the kind of social circle my family has!

Given a chance, where would you like to reside?

Well, would love to in L.A or New York.

Sonakshi Sinha Quickies-

Your fitness regime would be– I follow a strict fitness regime which is a combination of cardio and weight training thrice a week. I also throw in kick-boxing and functional training to go with it.

Your go-to perfume would have to be- Victoria Secret’s Pink body spray for the day, and Jean Paul Gaultier Classique at night. I love Issey Mayake too.

Make-up routine and the brands that you swear by– I love Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier and Chanel products. I remove all my make-up and moisturize before sleeping at night. I use a Nivea moisturizer and Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser.

Your beauty secret would be– I apply natural aloe vera on my skin as it’s the best thing for the skin. Also it takes care of any blemishes or marks instantly. I don’t like to tamper with my skin when not shooting. I use multani mitti occasionally. Drinking loads of water helps tremendously. It’s the little things that matter actually, like I prefer to cleanse my face and remove makeup before sleeping, apply the right moisturizer and sun block before stepping out helps a great deal.

Your designer go-to would be- Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Narendra Kumar, Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis

Your lustrous hair regime would be- I go for an occasional olive oil or coconut oil head massage, which is really good for blood circulation. I indulge in hair spa treatments as well.

Diet rituals that you swear by would be– I just eat well; a wholesome diet is what is given importance to. I prefer small meals every two hours to keep my metabolism going. I do have a sweet tooth, which I try very hard to control so I indulge only once in a while. If I do go over-board then I’ll compensate by doing an extra 30 minutes in the gym or cut out on carbohydrates and stick to just salads.

Your red-carpet look would be-I like to experiment all the time and change it up as much I can.
