Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui says he has been receiving many endorsement offers, but he will not come on board with a product which causes image issues. “Jo product aap endorse kar rahe hain, you should be conscious about the side effects. If something does not turn out right, then the blame should be on everyone. But thodha sa logon ko bhi khayal rakhna chahiye. For example, I will not endorse a fairness cream, woh kahin na kahin aapko depression mein dalti hai. Thodha stars ko bhi dhyaan rakhna chahiye ki aise product nahi endorse karna chahiye,” he says.

The 41-year-old actor then goes on to say that he has never made a conscious attempt to stay in the limelight. He says he only likes talking about his work, and when he has nothing to say on that, he doesn’t know what else to talk about. “Main chahta hoon ki jab mera kaam aaye, tab hi main media se baat karoon. Mein aise hi apni publicity ya marketing nahi karna chahta. I have nothing to say other than my films and my work. I think you should only be in the news when your films come, unnecessarily nahi aana chahiye. Jo log aate hain woh achi baat hai. But I will never do that,” he says.

Meanwhile, Nawazuddin, who has got appreciation for films such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), The Lunchbox (2013) and Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), says that he likes to pick roles which seem impossible to him. “If I feel that i have done a particular role before, I try not to take it up. But jismein mujhe lagta hai ki mera yeh uncomfortable zone hai, toh main sabse pehle woh role ko choose karta hoon,” he says.
