A Northern Territory man has died and his driver has suffered serious injuries following a fatal crash in northwest Queensland.
A Northern Territory man has died and another has been seriously injured following a fatal crash in Queensland’s northwest.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the Barkly Highway, about 50km west of Mount Isa, at 2.30am on Friday.
It is understood the ute overturned on the highway, injuring two Northern Territory men.
CPR was administered to the 28-year-old passenger, but he tragically died at the scene.
The driver, 23, was flown to Mount Isa Hospital with serious injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
The forensic crash unit is investigating.
