It’s a triple treat for fans this upcoming Independence week as not just one but two Bollywood biggies like Hrithik Roshan’s period drama Mohenjo Daro, also and Akshay Kumar’s Rustom will have MS Dhoni biopic’s trailer attached with them. While Rustom’s cast includes Ileana D’cruz, Arjan Bajwa and Esha Gupta, Mohenjo Daro also stars Pooja Hegde.
Both the films are releasing three days prior to the Independence Day. And according to recent development, MS Dhoni’s trailer will be released with these films on the same day.
After giving an insight of Dhoni’s inspiring journey in one-minute long teaser, the makers have now decided to release the much-awaited trailer of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story starring Sushant Singh Rajput on August 12. The trailer will be launched and will be available online for the viewers when Mohenjo Daro and Rustom will lock horns at the box office on the same day.
Sources says by releasing the trailer during the Independence week, the makers of MS Dhoni want to capitalise on the patriotic fervour.
The first teaser of the movie featured Sushant Singh Rajput as a railway ticket collector, which is one of the important part of cricketer MS Dhoni’ journey and his struggle that not many are aware of. Sushant’s act as Dhoni managed to intrigue people and created a sense of curiosity among them to know more about the film. It struck the right chord with the audiences and received rave reviews from critics and fans alike.
In MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Sushant Singh Rajput plays the titular role alongside Kiara Advani who will be playing the part of Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife Sakshi. The movie is slated to release on September 30.
