I Won’t Return My National Award Says Vidya Balan

After Anupam Kher and Ashoke Pandit, Vidya Balan also joins in slamming the filmmakers, who have returned in their National Award as she says that she’ll not return her award as it is given by the Country and by the government.

In an recent interview during an event in Mumbai, the ‘Kahaani‘ actress Vidya Balan who had won National Award for best actress for ‘The Dirty Picture‘ said that this honor is by the nation and not the government, hence she’ll not return her award.

Among 10 filmmakers who returned their awards , there are acclaimed directors like Dibakar Banerjee and Anand Patwardhan in that list, who are protesting against government for not coming up for the solution for FTII students which also leads intolerance in the country for the filmmakers.

Vidya Balan will be nest seen in Marathi film, where she’ll portray the character of actress Geeta Bali. The film is a biopic on actor-director Bhagwan Dada and is scheduled to release in January next year.
