The legendary Bollywood thespian Dilip Kumar, who celebrates his 93rd birthday today, will not be having a low-key affair in lieu of the Chennai floods.
This year, Dilip Kumar saab will be honoured with the prestigious ‘Padma Vibhushan’ award, which happens to be the country’s second highest civilian award. Even though the award was conferred on him earlier this year, he was not able to attend the award ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in April due to his ill health. That’s why he will be conferred the said award at his home on December 13.
Speaking about the award, his wife Saira Bano said that they got a call from Raj Bhavan informing that Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will be honouring Dilip Sahab at home two days after his birthday.
