Christmas is a joyous occasion of a new born Child Jesus and also it is an occasion for us to change our bad habits, live honestly and love our brethren. Christmas comes every year so does every other festivals but the real meaning of Christmas is to follow the teaching of Lord Jesus Christ.

This Christmas we should reflect of the following words of Jesus and practice it.

Love your Enemies:

Of-course this is a difficult thing for a human to do but at the same time it is good to pray for those who persecute you, good to help the enemy who is in trouble and good to write a loving email. The enemy will one day realise your love and become a best friend.

Don’t worry about the Future:

Jesus said, by worrying about the future or about the past, are you going to stop your hair falling? Look at the birds, they fly, eat and live peacefully. Learn to “live in the moment you’re in”!

The Love:

God loves everyone. “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him”.

Ask, Seek, Knock:

And so tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. The simple theory is that when you keep asking to your parents they out of love will give it to you. Same way our Lord will give everything that you ask of him.

This Christmas therefore we should learn and understand his teaching and celebrate Christmas in a meaningful way.  Merry Christmas.

Tony Colaco –  President. Goan Overseas Association NSW Inc.

2015 had more than its fair share of both triumphs and tragedies. During this monthit is perhaps time we reflect for a short moment on the spirit of Christmas and express our gratitude.

Christmas is the time of the year when we have friends and family visiting and we demonstrate a spirit of togetherness in our community.

Christmas, is not a date. It is a state of mind. Gifts of time and love are surely the basic ingredients of a truly merry Christmas. Let’s all give and receive love this holiday season and have a joyous Christmas.

May God’s blessing shine down upon you and your family this holiday season. Sending love from my family to yours. May Christmas spread cheer in your lives!

John A Fernandes JP –  Club President-  Kings Langley Lions Club Inc.

The Spirit of Christmas should not be just for one day but for the whole year!

May this Christmas season bring you closer to all those that you treasure!

The Kings Langley Lions Club Inc. would like to take this opportunity to wish all the patrons of the Indian Telegraph and their respective families.

A Merry Christmas and all the best for a Healthy and Prosperous New Year!
