By now, we all know that ‘Mr. Perfectionist’ aka Aamir Khan will be seen playing the role of the legendary wrestler Mahavir Phogat in Nitesh Tiwari’s biographical sports drama Dangal. At the same time, we also know how Aamir Khan spares no efforts in order to ‘get into the character’ to give a realistic look and feel.
As a part of Dangal’s shoot, Aamir Khan has been shooting for the film in different locations of Punjab. Recently, there was a vital scene in the film, which was shot at one of the oldest schools in the state, located in Gujjarwal (a village in the Ludhiana district). The said scene happens to be an important sequence where Mahavir Phogat will be seen visiting ‘The Government Senior Secondary School’, which was established in 1857. Needless to say that Aamir Khan was thrilled to bits to shoot there. He also met the school’s principal and his family, who were extremely excited to meet him. During this visit, Aamir Khan also found out that one of the school’s alumni happens to be the legendary Sikh freedom fighter Kartar Singh Sarabha. Besides Gujjarwal, Aamir Khan also shot in another village in the Ludhiana district named Dango, which happens to be the ancestral village of the veteran actor Dharmendra.
Reports also state that Aamir Khan has told Dharmendra, that, once the film is ready, he would organize for a special screening for him.
