Aamir Khan adopts two drought affected villages in Maharashtra

Aamir Khan, who has always extended his support towards varied social causes, has decided to do something for the drought affected regions in Maharashtra. With several Bollywood personalities like Akshay Kumar and Nana Patekar adopting drought affected villages, Aamir too is all set to follow their footsteps.

Aamir Khan will be adopting Tal and Koregaon in order to support the people living in these rural areas and uplift these regions. Interestingly, the superstar even joined hands with Paani Foundation for the Satyamev Jayate Water Cup campaign which aims at water conservation and spreading awareness about the same. He had also visited Beed in Aurangabad along with his team where he expressed his pride over the Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan kick started by Maharashtra government for water conservation and also explained about the varied ways to fight drought.

The actor has even done reality chat shows discussing some major issues of the society like rape, corruption, honour killing among others in varied episodes of Satyamev Jayate. On the Bollywood front, Aamir Khan is gearing up for the sports drama Dangal, based on the journey of real life wrestler Mahavir Phogat.
