As much as we’d all like to pretend that our exes cease to exist after we’ve broken up with them, the harsh reality is that they are still very much alive. And running into your partner’s rumoured ex? Now that can’t be easy, more so if you’re a Bollywood celeb who’s every move grabs eyeballs.

So, while the ex-run-in is enough to upset even the smoothest of operators, the cool and calm Jaya Bachchan actually looked pretty cool (and pretty in pink, if we might add) as she took everyone by surprise when she hugged and sat next to Bollywood diva Rekha (who rocked her gold sari look, yet again )at the recent Star Screen Awards.

Rekha’s affair with Jaya’s husband Amitabh Bachchan has long been Bollywood gossip. But it seems, the Bollywood beauties, who are not known to speak very often, socially or otherwise, were more than okay as they sat next to each other at the award ceremony and pretty much had great time together. Also seen next to them was Bollywood stunner Deepika Padukone.

A little recap of the Amitabh-Jaya-Rekha affair, not that you need it: Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan’s alleged affair with Rekha has been the talk of the town for decades now. And Rekha’s equation with Big B’s wife Jaya Bachchan has always been in the limelight. The two seasoned actors have starred together in 1981 film Silsila, which also starred Big B. In fact, the movie is said to be inspired by the alleged real-life love triangle of its three stars, Amitabh-Jaya-Rekha, the most talked about love affair back then.
