A convenience store worker at a BP service station successfully scared off a masked robber in NSW.
The video footage shows the service store attendant of ‘Indian appearance’ walking towards the front door when he sees a black car approaching the store and a balaclava-clad robber coming out and towards the store.
And within seconds, this service attendant realises that the masked man is carrying a metal weapon and he promptly starts throwing ‘lollies’ which are within his arms reach towards the masked man.
This incident happened on early Sunday morning around 5.45am at BP service station in Aberdare in NSW’s Hunter Region, police said.
The video then shows the offender fleeing away in the car, where a driver and another passenger were waiting.
Central Hunter Detective Inspector Mitch Dubojski said the incident was a reminder for businesses to be vigilant about unusual behaviour.
Detective Inspector Dubojski urged people to contact police if they noticed any suspicious activity.
Anyone with information about the matter is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
