The November 2014 issue of The Indian Telegraph carried a comprehensive report on the Indian PM’s visit including federal and state government events the G20 and his address to Parliament. Significant Indo-Australian initiatives were also covered, and naturally, the effusive welcome from the diaspora here.
But the report also included elements of fair and unbiased reporting as peaceful protests and sceptical opinions were given the opportunity to be heard. The Indian Telegraph brought readers a clear perspective of the Prime Minister’s visit, addressing all its aspects with honesty, integrity and fair reportage. The aim of this report was to provide readers a rounded view of Mr Modi’s visit by highlighting all its aspects, positive and not so positive, in a balanced manner that allowed readers to draw their own conclusions on his overall performance.
