Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres is encouraging people to participate in this year’s Festival of Cycling and Wellbeing at Sydney Olympic Park from October 10 to November 1.

“Sydney is blessed with great weather at this time of year and there really isn’t a better time to get the bike out of winter storage and head out to take part in these iconic cycling and fitness events,” Mr Ayres said.

“Kicking off with the Ride to Conquer Cancer on October 10 and ending with the Sun-Herald Summer Starter on November 1, the Festival is based in and around Sydney Olympic Park, taking advantage of the Park’s 35km of cycle tracks to provide an unparalleled cycling experience.”

The Festival covers eight major family-friendly cycling and fitness events across three big weeks:
· 10-11 Oct Ride to Conquer Cancer starting and ending at the Park
· 16-18 Oct Fitness and Health Expo at Sydney Showground
· 18 Oct Sydney Club Cup competitive team racing
· 18 Oct Handcycling Criterium wheelchair sports on Olympic Boulevard
· 18 Oct 2015 Spring Cycle across three distances
· 25 Oct Sydney BMX Club Racing at Monster BMX
· 22-15 Oct Mind Body Spirit Festival at Sydney Showground
