Sydney has pipped Melbourne in the Australian holiday destination stakes, according to the world’s largest travel review site.
Queensland’s capital Brisbane followed in third place in the list of top ten destinations in the country according to the 2016 TripAdvisor’s travellers choice destinations awards.
NSW Tourism Minister Stuart Ayres welcomed the accolade, saying the 33 million domestic and international visitors who travelled to Sydney last year spent $16.5 billion.
