When asked what people in Pakistan think about the portrayal of Pakistan in Bollywood films, Saif said, “I spoke to one of my relatives (in Pakistan) and he said he doesn’t like films that ‘bash Pakistan’. I want to do a variety of roles. I wanted to do this film as it excited me. It had a big director, Kabir Khan and a heroine like Katrina Kaif. It was a nice opportunity,” the 44-year-old actor said.
