Deepika Padukone slays in this Monisha Jaising tuxedo as she wins International Woman of the Year Award. The actress seems to exude her inner Serena Unger with this look, don’t you think?

Deepika Padukone is a fashion powerhouse. It’s almost like the xXx actor’s got the Midas touch when it comes to her sartorial choices, if the past couple of weeks is anything to go by, and don’t let a certain caption on Bollywood blunder mislead you one bit, because this leggy lass has been slaying it on the red carpet – be it at home or abroad! And might we add, we absolutely LOVE the Padukone-Monisha Jaising partnership.

In Dubai for the Esquire Awards, where Padukone won the International Woman of the Year Award, Padukone exuded confidence and power in this fabulous tuxedo by Jaising. The corset-inspired white top, the delicately turned white lapels on the tailored jacket and the high-waisted flared pants just looked smashing, and there’s no denying the look meant business. Celebrity stylist Shaleena Naithani worked wonders with her overall look. The Bvlgari neck-piece and red clutch with black pumps simply cinched the deal.

A doff of the hat to Namrata Soni for opting for straight hair to show length and giving the look a certain sleekness, along with impressive smokey eyes, slightly contoured make-up and soft red lips.

Padukone seems to exude her inner Serena Unger with this razor-sharp look, don’t you think?

Padukone was joined at the awards ceremony by rumoured beau Ranveer Singh, who won the International Man of the Year Award.

Previously, Padukone had made quite an impression with yet another Monisha Jaising ensemble for the MTV EMAs. The edgy green gown had turned quite a few heads on the red carpet, which was Padukone’s first international event of the kind, and got rave reviews from all quarters (save one).

“Military green is a functional and strong colour. It has a tough, almost androgynous appeal for all of those women warriors out there! Deepika is unstoppable, fit and fierce; making a perfect muse for my Artemisia Gown,” Jaising had said about the look.
