The New South Wales Council for Women’s Economic Opportunity has brought together a bunch of various experts from a diverse range of industries in the private, not-for-profit, academic and government sectors to provide specialist advice to the Minister on opportunities to promote economic development and financial security for women.
In a recent meeting held by the Council for Women’s Economic Opportunity, focus has been given on how to improve opportunities for women in social housing and for women at risk of or experiencing homelessness to gain and retain employment.
It is a matter of great pride for the Indian community to acknowledge Pallavi Sinha, who serves on the Council. She has served on the Council since it was chaired by the former NSW Minister for Women, the Hon Pru Goward MP. CWEO is presently chaired by NSW Minister for Women, the Hon Tanya Davies MP.
