Lushsux has painted a mural of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The painting, at Melbourne’s Richmond, shows the pair kissing. Pictures of the mural went up Wednesday, when election results rolled in.
A mural of the presidential nominees kissing has been painted by a controversial street artist as the results of the race trickle in.
Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton were spotted sharing an intimate moment on Wednesday in a mural at Gwynne Street in Melbourne’s inner east Richmond. The artist, Lushsux, has previously been criticised for his ‘sexist’ paintings of Clinton, Melania Trump, Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift.
The most recent mural, of Trump and Clinton sharing a kiss, was reminiscent of the famous socialist fraternal kiss mural at Berlin Wall of Erich Honecker and Leonid Brezhnev. In July, a Lushsux mural of Clinton dressed in a revealing stars and stripes swimsuit went up in Melbourne’s West Footscray. The mural was later painted over as if she was wearing an Islamic burka.
The same month, Lushsux had revealed a painting on Perry Street in Collingwood of Trump’s wife, Melania.
Mrs Trump had been pictured from the waist up, completely naked. Above her head was Clinton’s campaign slogan, ‘I’m with her’. Lushsux has also famously painted Pauline Hanson wearing a burka, and a nude selfie of Kim Kardashian. A mural of Taylor Swift was painted with the words, ‘in loving memory of Taylor Swift. 1989 – 2016‘.
