Fans of Irrfan Khan are worried as the actor is hospitalized. He has admitted in the Intensive Care Unit of Andheri’s Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. The news of his hospitalization came in the afternoon. But no one came forward to confirm why he was admitted. This led to a wave of speculations. Now, his spokesperson has cleared the air about his health condition. It seems he has been admitted because of a colon infection. The short note said that it was his inner strength and courage that helped him fight cancer and he would fight on bravely with the situation.

The official statement of Irrfan Khan’s spokesperson read, “Yes it is true that Irrfan khan is admitted to ICU at Kokilaben in Mumbai because of a colon infection. We would keep everyone updated. He is under doctor’s observation. His strength and courage have helped him battle and fight so far and we are sure with his tremendous willpower and prayers of all his well wishers, he will recover soon.” Now, this puts all the rumours to rest.

A few days ago, Irrfan’s mother Saeeda Begum passed away. This happened in Jaipur. Irrfan could not be a part of her funeral physically due to the lockdown. He saw it through video conferencing and paid his last rites. She was 95. Before the release of Angrezi Medium, Irrfan Khan said, “To be honest, all my anxiety has been exhausted with the roller-coaster ride of this disease. I am content that we have been able to make a happy film. So, the answer is: no, I am not nervous. I am just happy and nothing else.”

The actor fought a hard battle with cancer for almost a year. He was getting treated in London. Fans prayed his quick recovery. Our best wishes are with his family at this moment.
