The Gable Tostee murder trial has taken a new turn with the emergence of the last audio recording of New Zealand tourist Warriena Wright.

The Supreme Court has heard the recording of the final hours in Tostee’s Gold Coast apartment, Surfers Paradise. The audio revealed that the victim was drunk and sounded incomprehensible at times. In the recording, she sounded violent to Tostee, who was charged with her murder.

In the audio, the accused has been discovered indicating Wright as “some weird people on Tinder.” Tinder was the dating app on which the couple met and became friends. On the other hand, the tourist continued to be violent towards the man. The first portion of the recording was played in the court on Monday afternoon while the rest was played on Tuesday.

The conversation revealed that Tostee already threatened to take Wright’s life ahead of the incident. It also indicated how violent Wright had been throughout the audio. Tostee was constantly being beaten up by the tourist. In the recording, the Gold Coast man regretted to have offered her so much to drink.

ABC reported that Wright alleged Tostee of stealing her mobile phone and tampering with the data, whereas the latter sounded as if he was showing her where her mobile phone was kept. In the overall audio, where the New Zealander seemed to use abusive and slang terms for Tostee, the alleged murderer tried to bring the situation under control.

Police revealed images of Wright’s legs dangling off the balcony in the court hearing on Monday. The Crown claimed that the NZ tourist tried to run for her life as she thought she was not left with any other alternative to do so. She died of severe head injuries as she fell down from the height.

Gable Tostee, on the other hand, has pleaded not guilty of being involved in killing Wright.

Wright was on a two-week holiday in Australia when she met Tostee via the dating app.
