SOCIAL media site Facebook is introducing changes to its smartphone app so users can have looping videos instead of profile pictures.
THE Facebook newsroom website said the changes “add a new dimension to your profile”.
Instead of a profile photo, users will be able to have a short, looping video clip. Users can also set a temporary profile picture to celebrate specific events, which will revert back after a set time. “We’re making it easier to showcase the you that matters most to you,” said the introductory video on the Facebook website. The new features will be tested by a small number of people in the UK and California before being rolled out globally.
