Is Salman taken?
Yes, you read that right so please don’t blink in disbelief. Bhai has had his fair share of affairs with actresses in Bollywood but none of his relationships have materliased into anything permanent. The current buzz is that the actor is quite serious about his relationship with Romanian TV celebrity Lulia Vantur. As per a report in pinkvilla.com there were rumours doing the round that he had openly declared to his family that Lulia was his girlfriend at Arpita’s wedding! Not only was Lulia spotted in a number of family functions with the Khans but she was also spotted on the sets of Salman’s films Bajrangi Bhaijaan and more recently, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. Recently when he was asked as to when he will get married, he had jokingly replied, “I may see myself getting married in 2015.” But the most exciting bit of news is that Salman’s alleged girlfriend Lulia has been back in Romania since 5 weeks now. And now her PR back in Bucharest claims Vantur is engaged with wedding to happen early next year!! We have keeled over in so much shock!
Another cricket-Bollywood wedding
Geeta Basra and long-time boyfriend Harbhajan Singh are finally tying the knot after a decade-long courtship. The wedding, we hear, will be held on October 29, in Jalandhar which happens to be the groom’s hometown.
As D-Day nears, the couple can barely control their excitement and have left no stone unturned in having the perfect big fat Indian wedding. Bhajji, as he is fondly called, will be sporting a suave look and will dress in a Raghavendra Rathore creation in shades of blue and pink. He will dress up as a royal and regal Sardar in a Bikaner style achkan and a blue sherwani. Geeta, on the other hand, wants to dress up like a traditional bride and will sport the red and golden colors from Archana Kocchar’s and Babita Malkani’s collections. Basra will wear a choli with a red lehenga that is embellished with bold pita work with beautiful tilla embroidery. There is also a beautiful head dupatta to complete the ensemble. Her jewellery has been designed giving it a very Indian look with a nath, a matha patti, a tikka. Geeta and Bhajji made sure that they were involved in the designing of their wedding attire right from the start. The groom’s attire has also been designed keeping in mind the bridal trousseau. The pair is set to be well turned out indeed, as they start off their new innings!
Murky Mandana?
While Mandana Karimi is hogging headlines inside the Bigg Boss 9 house for being the trouble-maker, her personal life has come under the scanner too. A marriage certificate claiming that the Iranian beauty is married to Indian model Lalit Tehlan is doing the rounds. So why is that a problem? Well, Lalit was in a relationship with ace fashion designer Rohit Bal from 2008 to 2011. Lalit was in a live-in relationship with designer Rohit Bal for three years, however the two had ended their romance mutually. After their breakup had made quite the news, it came to light that Lalit was dating a girl named Mandy. Mandana is known as Mandy in fashion circles. For the initial part of her career, she was based out of Pune and was already friends with Rohit before meeting Lalit. The certificate, which was leaked online way back in 2011, has resurfaced now. The document dated February 18, 2011 with her name as Manizhe Karimi, states that the duo had an Arya Samaj wedding. A copy of the marriage certificate was also printed in a leading daily. Mandana had however denied any such marriage at that time, and said the two were just dating. While it still remains a mystery as to why Lalit changed his sexual orientation, hush-hush sources said it was only meant to help Mandana get an Indian passport.
Not even a week into the Bigg Boss house and Mandana knows how to play her cards. She has already become the first contestant to get into a catfight and even throw starry tantrums. Smart moves we must say!
Rani misses Durga Puja
For 67 years, the Mukherjee family’s Durga Puja celebrations have been a grand affair. For years now, the Rani Mukerji has been personally managing the celebrations where the whole clan is said to come together, including cousins Kajol and Tanishaa. But this year, we hear that Rani will take a step back from the festivities, obviously because of her pregnancy. The secretary of North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja (which Rani’s family hosts every year) Deb Mukherjee confirmed the news and said, “Everybody is invited. The committee does not send out invitations. Rani comes every year and serves the bhog. But I am not sure if she will do it this year.”
The actress married the reticent Aditya Chopra, in a private ceremony about a year ago. The private couple surprised everyone when she was snapped with a much-visible baby bump recently in India and abroad. According to the latest reports, Rani has been flown away from the hustle and bustle of city for a much need rest. Arre, what’s there to hide so much, Mrs Chopra??
Bachchans silent over Jazbaa
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s performance in Jazbaa has received rave reviews from all sections. The actress has impressed one and all, with the film also getting good recommendations from critics. The actress is now ready to take on her contemporaries, signing roles that were first offered to the likes of Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra. But what seems strange is how everyone from her own family is silent about her performance.
Maybe the film didn’t do so well at the box-office but Ash is being appreciated for delivering a mature performance. However, it is surprising that none of her family members have come out to speak on it. So we are really wondering what the issue is now! Since Abhishek is usually outspoken and expressive on social media, this sort of silence on his wife’s film is not a good sign. May be we are over reacting, but just wondering!
Deepika ki Dhoom!
Leggy lass Deepika Padukone is on a high these days. First the success of Piku and now the much awaited Tamasha and Bajirao Mastani. There is now news that she will finally be in a YRF film, romancing Hrithik Roshan in the next Dhoom movie. Dippy will also do some fiery stunts for which experts will be flown in from abroad. Rumour mills are also working in overdrive about her starring opposite Salman Khan for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Sultan. While they were supposed to come together for Karan Johar’s Shuddhi, which had got shelved, looks like DP’s long-awaited dream of working with Salman may just come true.
