1st over – Jasprit Bumrah with the new ball
Righto, anthems and formalities out of the way. It’s Bumrah to Joe Burns to start the Boxing Day Test.
And the first ball is well wide of the off stump. Encouragingly though, there was some swing there.
BEATEN! Seed from Bumrah. Definite early swing, and after a couple of looseners Bumrah finally found his line and length. Burns tentative.
BEATEN AGAIN! Burns has a real dip at a wide half volley this time, but is lucky not to nick it in the end. Fine first over from Bumrah, who is swinging it both ways early.
