Step Aside Virushka, Deepveer Is Here

Get ready for the wedding of the year because if the grapevine is to be trusted, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are set to tie the knot soon. Reportedly, the duo’s parents met in Mumbai during the first week of March to finalise their wedding date. To quote a reliable source: ”We hear the couple is headed to the altar in the coming three to four months. Deepika’s parents flew down to Mumbai from Bangalore last week to zero in on the wedding date. The meeting took place at the actress’ Prabhadevi residence, post which the Padmaavati stars, along with their families, headed to Four Seasons, Worli, for dinner.” Apparently, Ranveer and Deepika wanted a destination wedding, but, the actor’s parents are keen on Mumbai. Reason? Most of the Singh family relatives live in Mumbai and Delhi and they do not want them to miss out on the celebrations. The wedding will take place as per South Indian rituals with Taj Lands End, Four Seasons or St Regis being considered as possible venues. The wedding ceremony will be followed by a grand reception. What’s more, Deepika has already begun shopping for D-Day. The actress left for London on March 2 with Ranveer’s parents in tow. The three are currently looking at outfits and jewellery for the ceremony. But why did Ranveer not accompany the trio? Well, the actor is busy shooting for Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy in Mumbai.

National Crush To Star in Johar’s Next?

Priya Prakash Varrier was just another face till the day she decided to wink for a scene in her debut film, Oru Adaar Love. Not only did she take the Internet by storm, she also started being hailed as India’s national crush! With her facial drama going viral, the 18-year-old is now being considered for a role in Hindi cinema. Apparently Karan Johar is keen to rope in the winking sensation as the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba. While many names, including those of Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor are doing the rounds for the role in this film where Ranveer stars as a cop, it seems Priya has worked her charm on Karan already. The newbie became an overnight craze literaly in the wink of an eye and Bollywood is interested in her. So, who better than Karan to do the needful?

Mr Perfect Not Happy With Kat

The Aamir Khan-starrer, Thugs Of Hindostan, is touted to be one of the most awaited films of 2018. The superstar would be sharing screen space with Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Going by the sneak-peeks Kat has been giving us from the rehersals of this film, it seems she has some really high octane action scenes along with scintallating dance numbers. But if reports are to be believed, all is not well in paradise. Perfectionist co-star Aamir believes that there is much room for improvement for the gorgeous lady. After watching a few rushes of the film, the Dangal actor is said to have called for retakes of few of Kat’s action sequences. We are not surprised, given his track records, but will this move rub the Tiger Zinda Hai actress the wrong way? Earlier, while speaking to some of the press, Aamir had said, “She is also there, but you know, in all fairness I don’t know if I can call it a lead role. She has got two songs out of three, so, in that sense she has got an important part. The story is about this girl played by Fatima. She is playing the central role.” Of course, that didn’t go very well with Katrina.

Bhai Turns Away From Kat’s Sis

Salman Khan is known for his benevolence when it comes to launching new faces. Recently, he even launched former girlfriend Katrina Kaif’s sister, Isabelle for Mr Cabbie, a Canadian romantic comedy produced by him. However, Bhai does not seem too interested in contributing towards her Bollywood career. Apparently, he isn’t just skeptical about Isabelle’s acting prowess, but also somewhat hesitant to bring her onboard his Da-Bangg tour, despite requests from Katrina. For the uninitiated, Isabelle was recently announced as the brand ambassador of Lakme and at the press conference of the same brand, she was seen throwing tantrums, leaving everybody surprised. It is perhaps this high-headed attitude that has not gone down too well with Bhai.

Devsena makes B’wood wait, all for Prabhas

It’s been almost a year since Prabhas and Anushka Shetty shared screen. And ever since Baahuabali 2, there’s not been many an on-screen pairing to recieve such hype. However, while Prabhas is busy shooting for Saaho alongside Shraddha Kapoor, Anushka Shetty too was reportedly approached with a Bollywood offer. And if sources have it right, she rejected it – that too for Prabhas! “Prabhas is of the opinion that Anushka should make her Bollywood debut opposite him. He believes only then can they make the most of their chemistry and give fans what they expect of them,” a trusted source revealed.

Is Gattu Picking The Wrong Fights?

Kedarnath director Abhishek Gattu Kapoor is in the news – once again for the wrong reasons. The filmmaker, who made recent headlines for his ugly spat with KriArj entertainment, is now spewing venom on none other than B-town Badshah, Shahrukh Khan. And, he has said some really nasty things about filmmaker Karan Johar as well. But it doesn’t end there… Gattu has also had some weird things to say about Rohit Shetty and his upcoming film with Ranveer Singh, Simmba. He reportedly sent messages to people, badmouthing SRK. A source, who happens to be the recipient of one such text, says, “Right before the Zero teaser was released on January 1, Gattu sent out a text saying he had watched the teaser and the song and felt SRK looked like an alien in it. He has been ridiculing the actor and his look as a dwarf ever since. He is confident that his film will be better than Zero.”
